Filing a Claim for Storm Damage and Insurance Claims
Follow These Simple Steps for a Hassle-Free Claim
Before filing, know the Date of Loss (storm date) and Type of Loss (hail, wind, or both). If damage involves both hail and wind, be sure to specify each to avoid accidentally filing two claims and paying multiple deductibles.

If you’ve already made temporary emergency repairs—such as tarping, boarding up windows, or fencing—keep a detailed list and save all invoices and receipts.
Contacting Your Insurance and Reporting Your Claim
Reach out to your insurance company’s Claims Center to report the damage. Your Bronco Cat Project Manager can provide a toll-free number and guide you through the process. Be ready to provide the date of loss, type of damage, and any emergency repairs completed.
In many cases, your Bronco Cat Project Manager can file the claim on your behalf using your policy number. Some insurance companies also allow online claim submission. Once filed, your insurer typically contacts you within 48 hours, assigns a claim number, provides the adjuster’s name and contact information, and schedules an appointment for inspection.
The Importance of Meeting Your Insurance Adjuster
Meeting your insurance adjuster is critical for setting the scope of damage. Without this step, items are often missed or denied. Notify your Bronco Cat Project Manager as soon as your appointment is scheduled to ensure proper guidance and representation.
